For the first time in European club football history all 4 finalists are from one country. And that country is England.

Probably the ugliest finals to ever be played too.

Will see.

*uses deflect* it's not very effective

how many english managers and players again? i seem to have missed that part...

also, transfer fees are just a small part of the money argument - but even just looking at that, this is what you describe as 'not heavily invested / poundland transfers' in terms of net spend just the last 3 seasons:

chelski: € 232,65 M
arsenal: € 174,4 M

now let's start talking wages and then tell me again how money is not the main factor behind this. i'd be surprised if frankfurt's whole squad earned as much as hazard and higuain (the guy they 'loaned from his retirement home' - for the negligible salary of £ 270k per week) together...

by all means, celebrate your team's success, i'm 100% with you there and was rooting for kloppo's boys anyway ever since dortmund got eliminated - just don't embarrass yourself by acting this had anything to do with 'english' football (the 4th place in russia last year, your best wc result for decades, makes much more sense to celebrate from an 'english football' perspective). there's a reason none of your top teams has an english manager - not even their money, their owners are english (with tottenham, the team that spent the least by far, being the only exception)...

Please. We've heard long enough the bla bla engrish teams with so much money doing shit from fans of countries with 1 or 2 teams in that can suck up all their countries talent just because it's the only option for players that want to stay in that country. Witness the rise of the Engrish powerhouses and know your doom. :santa:

Prem had 3/4 UCL semi finalists for 2 years straight (and would have been 2 straight United-Chelski finals were it not for Ovrebo the disgrace) until CR7 went to Madrid and fully tipped the scales in Spain’s favor.

Since 2014 there has been 1 non-Spain club European trophy tournament winner (United 2017)

Not a surprise that he leaves and the dominance abruptly ends.
