I really don't understand why Sevilla sold him for under less than 40M€. His release clause was 45M€, and there really was no reason to sell him for less than that by today's transfer fee standards... especially to an oil club that can just print out more money. Sevilla fans are fuming, they are tired (and rightfully so) of seeing how their club keeps selling their best players year after year.

I agree with those fans, they should have asked for more indeed.
Perhaps Krycho pushed the board to sell him, other than that I can't find another explenation.

Even if he pushed them, they shouldn't have sold him for 26M ffs. There are surely top clubs willing to pay somewhere around 40M€ for him.

Emery really wanted him, so I'm sure that PSG would have thrown in the money eventually.

Would have loved to see Kyrcho at Arsenal, but we went for Xhaka instead.
