I find "won possession in the final 3rd" surprising as there are many harder working forward players

I'd rather have him than bale... Hazard may not score as many as bale, but does more for the team.
Plus Hazard is more fun to watch, he has an amazing dribble

he's a better dribbler for sure. i disagree but understand why you prefer him - like I'd rather have coutinho than mata or eriksen even though he doesnt get the same goals/assists.
