casemiro is certainly an upgrade over the likes of mctominay and fred, but he's such a rat. flopping all the time, while committing countless fouls himself, but somehow always getting away with it. decent player, but awful character.

Congrats on the signing. He's an absolute beast. Not an inconsistent flop promoted by marketing like Varane, Casemiro is a proper player that will add a lot to Man Utd. From tactical awareness to both defensive and offensive skills, he's very well rounded. Not to mention the flare and champion spirit he has, and is direly needed at Old Trafford right now.

i dunno about "most important", i'd say that's a bit of a stretch. he's a very good holding mid for sure, and his role for real madrid most certainly was an important one, but i feel like he's one of those players who are both under- and overrated at the same time, lol.

underrated by casual football fans who only value flashy, offensive players, but overrated by many "experts", very much like verratti, jorginho, or fabinho for example. i'd take a rodri, kanté, or kimmich over them in a heartbeat.

Doubt he alone will be able to change things tho.
