awesome tourney iceland, great to watch them :hail:

they were pretty decent tonight actually, but the frenchies scored their scenes immediately
could have gone different

i am still not impressed by france and not worried at all
frenchie defense looked like shit and our viking friends had plenty of chances

what a showdown on thursday, cmon germany B)

no,we have beaten em in qualifys 2014 :p

You must admit that luck was a large part in that victory. Don't get me wrong, I'm bais af and Croatia is a great team who should have beaten Portugal imo, but if you look at the goals, there was definite luck involved imo.

Game tonight was good. A bit harsh to concede 5 goals after having such a strong defense in the tourney so far. Still I can't fault the boys, scoring 2 against France is good enough for me. It was hard enough trying to scream louder than like 60k french fans, not sure if you could hear it on tv, but we were standing, clapping and yelling that entire match. Really glad how much support there has been from our fans. It's been expensive af and I'm broke lol, but it's been worth every minute. Hopefully we'll do as well in russia in 2018. Thanks for the support from many of you as well :D

i don't get the hate for iceland. they played a fantastic tournament overall. you guys seem to be forgetting that those are players who play in 2nd and 3rd league clubs or in 2nd and 3rd tier leagues.
did anyone really think their individual player quality would magically improve due to the success they had so far?
i hope no one seriously expected them to go all the way. even greece, who miraculously won in 2004, had a considerably higher player quality overall.

obviously, iceland was bound to be "exposed" but i have nothing but respect for them, those guys beat england, highly rated (at least before the tournament) austria and drew against portugal - all teams with much better players who were expected to beat them easily...

Don't forget the group in wich they qualified either. It should have been an easy group for Oranje to qualify in, but they came first and were easilly the least experianced team there.

Their performance against France was solid too. Too bad they just were a bit too slow in midfield sometimes, and France played out their chances very well.
