Its not like its a situation where we were bombarding Sheffield United's (and now arsenal's) goal but couldn't quite score like was common in many of the early mourinho/ibra days where a few too many games were drawn vs lesser teams. Despite getting a reputation for parking the bus vs top teams that side had the 4th most shots and THE most big chances missed.

A Kane or Lewa type quality striker would do wonders. Maybe Greenwood can be that guy eventually, but this season is slipping away fast.

Rashford is fine but he has to play LW or in a 2 ST position with him as left striker. Forcing him to play elsewhere to suit the team is a waste of time he isnt as well-rounded as Rooney was at 23. Greenwood is 19 he cannot be expected to lead the line and hes having a major sophomore season slump. Martial theres no excuse anymore dunno wtf happened to him vs last year its like he got replaced by some random who won a sweepstakes to play for United.

scoreline is harsh but when someone does a flying tackle 1 minute in not much can be done. glad martial scored twice maybe he can snap out of his funk already. feel bad for Southampton but United really needed to erase fully that 1-6 nightmare on the goal difference front
