Honestly the amount of money the government is wasting is just astounding, by both being incompetent - up to 10% of CJRS (furlough) grants are thought to be claimed fraudulently which totals to around £4bn so far, and downright corrupt - the whole matter of PPE contracts being awarded to companies connected to richest donors of the Tory party without proper procurement processes in place - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/nov/09/uk-government-fails-to-publish-details-of-4bn-covid-contracts-with-private-firms
so couple of millions spent on something that makes actual difference to kids whose parents can't afford to feed them as they've been affected by covid the most, is the least they can do.

Exactly. Why do you think cam hasn't even bothered to challenge either of our posts that highlighted the government's wasteful spending during the pandemic versus the relative cost of the scheme?

Because it cannot be refuted; and going after the users in this thread that merely agreed with us is far easier because he can avoid the substance of the issue that way.

Whether or not government spends and wastes a lot of money elsewhere was never the point of contention.
I fully agree they do.

First of all : Kids shouldn't be starving in England, that beacon of democracy and imperialism.
Secondly, if they are, goverment officials should call president elect Joe Biden.
He smells their hair, true that, but problem solved.
They could develop some freaky shit but that should be way, way easier to handle than living in England.

Anyways, i saw Rashford in one of these bilboards and i thought to myself "Damn, what a repulsive looking black individual. Uglier than his on-pitch abilities, if that's even possible"

Nah, not that much these days. I haven't brought any black guy on a ship to my country these past 5-600 years.

But if i did, i'd be really disappointed to see him ending up on a billboard.

But this is direct result of decade of austerity which impacted the poorest parts of society the most, so when a crisis like what we've got now hits, the government just can't, after 10 years of cuts to social services, go *shocked pikachu face* when the most disadvantaged and vulnerable members suddenly begin to struggle financially so much they can't even afford to feed their kids.

I suppose if it was any other aspect such as homelessness or mental health, it'd be easier to ignore or sweep under the carpet but letting kids go hungry is too much even for most brexity right wing Tory voters.

fwiw I do agree with general premise you shouldn't rely on the social services to feed your kids and you shouldn't have children if you can't afford to feed and given them normal life in general, but circumstances change and these are exceptional times.

Jose schooling Guardiola there, it's looking worse for Woodward and his footballing decision making every passing week.

Should be easy 3 points but WBA have worryingly good record at Old Trafford plus ours is horrible this season so could go either way <_<
