VAR Protocol: 8.13 - what happens if the VAR identifies a clear mistake in a match-changing incident after the referee has blown the whistle for half-time or full time?

The referee blows for half-time or full-time and the VAR then communicates that a potential clear error/serious missed incident has occurred before the whistle to end the half–can the referee review the incident?

The VAR is like an assistant referee -if an assistant referee is indicating an offence which occurred before the referee blew the whistle, the referee can still take action as long as the referee has not left the field of play.

If this situation occurs, the VAR should immediately tell the referee who can inform the players and stop them leaving the field of play. The incident should then be dealt with according to the normal VAR procedures(check, review etc.).

To avoid such problems, in the final minutes of a half, the VAR should immediately inform the referee of any potential check/review so that, if possible, the referee can stop play/delay a restart to avoid having a review after the whistle for the end of the half has been blown.

where does it say in VAR protocol to play until the 100th minute when only 5 minutes were added on?

They scored in the 92nd or so, it's perfectly acceptable to add extra couple of minutes to injury time in this case.

Added time has always been at the refs call hasn't it. Chelsea game yesterday they ended 30 seconds after added time even though there was a sub an injury and a goal wasting some time.

how is called the added time in EPL ?
asking this since in French Ligue 1, it's called "temps addionnel minimum" ... minimum added time.
so these 5 mins could also be 6, 7, 8, etc.

This pretty much, some people seem to be under impression the ref should be blowing the whistle exactly at the second mark once appropriate injury time has passed, regardless what happens during that period.

I'm actually sort of annoyed we scored and won the game anyway as it buys Solskjaer more time, if we started the season horribly he'd perhaps get sacked for the club to try to salvage something out of it, now the odds are we're gonna hover around ~6th position for the entire campaign enough to give false hope of finishing top 4 and he'll get only be gone at the end once it's mathematically confirmed we're out of race for CL places.

Manchester United are in talks with Porto over a deal for Brazilian full-back Alex Telles.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to strengthen his options on the left and feels the 27-year-old would be a useful addition.

Porto want £18m for Telles, who has one year left on his contract and could be signed without a fee on a pre-contract in January.

Telles, who has one cap for Brazil, has scored 21 goals in 127 games for Porto.

He's awesome on FM, so count me in and it'd be nice to finally have a reliable full back when Shaw inevitably breaks down again.
