Tottenham manager and Manchester United superfan Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to buy Jesse Lingard
Lingard or no Lingard, if Jose manages to finish above us, this should be the final nail in Woodward's coffin

Yikes
3-1 at old trafford.

I'm not entirely sure if I see united in the top 4. Especially with arsenal improving and if bale can stay healthy at spurs that attack is pretty scary.

I think you'll struggle to find a United fan confident of making top 4 at the moment.

Come off it.

United haven't had a preseason whereas Palace have played 3 games. They lost because they weren't fit enough, it was nothing to do with ability.

A full season with Penandes = top 4 nailed on. Don't forget how dreadful they were before Penandes came in.

Spurs have some good individual players but the Portugese Pulis is past it and their options in CM and CB are not that great.

Arteta looks like a proper manager but at the end of the day their CBs are shit and the CMs are very average.

You've got more faith than me then.

Half of those players were also playing twice for their national team just the other week, the assertion that they're lacking match fitness is misguided at best.

But just for argument's sake, lack of match fitness can't excuse such horrific under performance when the gulf between player quality from both team is so massive, Palace have maybe one player who would get into our match squad and he failed to make any sort of impact when he was at United.

I've never hung my hat on a major football predction and got it wrong. You'll get top 4.

If anyone wants a fg bet on that I'm game.

im probably more confident than Pozer but not as confident as dro in terms of this seasons outlook

think the squad desperately needs depth. Van de Beek is a very solid addition but there are significant needs at winger, LB and CB. Shaw and Bailly are sick notes and if Smalling isnt going to feature someone needs to be brought in to put Lindeolf on the bench for good. Scousers and Citeh were way ahead of the curve here in prior seasons and Chelski have spent near 300 million while Arsenal seem to have added shrewdly and wisely.

that said the lineup vs Palace was bizarre, maybe its the PE teacher telling the idiot administrators to get their act together. Wish whiskey sniffer was still around to slap some sense into those idiots but even he was powerless to stop them from selling CR7 and losing Tevez in one summer and replacing them with Obertan and Owen on a free

Rooney really was right to kick up a storm in 2010. Madrid, Barca, Chelski, Inter, Buyern, Citeh had been throwing money all over the place, while he tried to drag the team to more glory with Own Goal as his top goal scoring partner. Other than a smart buy in De Gea in 2011 and a no-brainer RvP in 2012 the transfers have been chasing names rather than any sort of strategy. Ole has made strides but continued emphasis on strengthening weak points is needed

Thanks, but I don't want bet against my own team

Villa and City, who both are also starting their season just now, won yesterday so this should put the match fitness theory to bed as they had especially City had a pretty demanding opponent.

I wouldn't even mind us not signing Sancho but this dithering from Woodward is most frustrating, Dortmund repeatedly said either pay up the asking price or you're not getting the player, so either sign him or move on to other targets.

Every summer window Woodward shows how incompetent he is in the transfer marker but he refuses to get a DoF to cede any of his power at the club
