Rather get Perisic on a year loan than a disinterested Bale, much cheaper and definitely in game shape already
Wouldn't mind Perisic either, but not sure how much truth there is in Bale being done with football, sounds like it's an agenda driven by his club to justify his departure to the fans.

Bale on loan will cost 300k a week paying half his wages. Remember the last over 30 guy United signed on big wages who really didnt want to be at the club?

I’m not saying Bale’s not still in shape as clearly he’s performed for Wales all this time, just he has completely checked out for club and i dont blame him. 2 La Ligas, 4 UCLs (two game winning goals one for la decima and the other a legendary overhead kick) and a famous winner in the CDR final vs Barca, he already did everything and now since the fans, Zidane, and probably Perez despise him, he prefers golfing so why bother with him. Perisic ticks all the boxes, provides depth, is an actual winger who has near zero controversy and just came off being a regular contributor to Buyern’s treble team while on loan. Conte doesnt want him at all at Inter so he isn’t going for £50MM like when Jose was around

Hell i’d say pay Inter the £15MM they want for him and sign him for 2 years plus 1 option year on whatever wage Buyern was paying him. Maybe Conte can be a good fella again and snag Rojo or Jones on a swap deal as well

I guess I just really like Bale as a player, loan move with option to make it permanent would be pretty prudent as he either proves he's still got it or returns to Madrid at the end of the season, of course he'd have to lower his wages which is an issue as the club vowed not to ever break the salary structure like we did for Sanchez.

Pogba is staying plus Villa want £70m+ so it's not happening.

Really surprised by this. Must prefer being a decent fish in a shite pond. That villa team is dreadful.

Haven't Villa spent nearly £100m on transfers this summer already, they're loaded so don't need to sell.

Besides he's good enough to play for top 4 club, if none of them are interested in him this summer then there's no point pushing for a move to someone like... Spurs

i do like Bale as a player, i just think Perisic is the more prudent move. Bale is a matchwinner yes but i think United are lacking more in creativity and depth and definitely wing play.
and reports now are saying Jose wants him at Spurs

Now if Bale comes cheap and whatever then okay fine, get him in. I just dont see it happening. Plus Utd are in negotiations with Madrid already for Regullion the LB so it could get tricky. I don’t think the bad blood from the fax machine has fully faded

this is a funny summer its like 2013 with Utd chasing Bale, Thiago, and someone from Dortmund

his goal to save Villa made his pricetag 2.5x. Feel a little for him as he’s now effectively blocked from a big move unless they go down and he’s already 25 but he just got paid so he’ll live

i think he would have been a great addition at like 30-40M but not 80M lol

his accent is hilarious though, but you can kinda understand him unlike Rooney or SAF
