Here's what it looks like since Fernandes signed, 18 points swing in 14 games

incredible turnaround

been extremely pleased with Fernandes signing. still beyond me how no other club was in for him and United still dragged their feet for 18 months.

guess cuz he “flopped” in Italy at like 21 it scared clubs off. United haven’t a player with his attributes, a near-endless engine running up and down the pitch scoring and creating goals since young/prime Rooney and it’s even better he’s in the midfield.

Yep. Great signing. United were due for a good one. Hopefully you lock him in before other big clubs come sniffing around

Scary thought that a team as painful to watch as United have been under Ole can play champions league.

Inter Milan want to sign Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez on a permanent deal.

The Chile striker, 31, has impressed during his loan spell in Italy and scored his third goal in eight games during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Genoa.

Sanchez was involved again on Tuesday night as Inter maintained their push to finish second in Serie A with a 2-0 win over Napoli.

Inter have not finished in Serie A's top three since 2011.

The player’s United contract – thought to be around £400,000 a week – is beyond Inter’s reach but Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not want to keep the former Barcelona forward for next season.

United have been paying a sizeable portion of Sanchez’s wages since he moved to Italy last summer and the former Arsenal man’s contract is not due to expire until 2022.

Any deal would almost certainly require some kind of pay off from United and a willingness by Sanchez to take a wage cut.

There is uncertainty over how long the player will be permitted to be involved in Inter’s Europa League campaign.

The BBC understands Sanchez will be available for the last-16 tie with Getafe on 5 August but with United also still in the competition, the existing deal would see the player then return to Old Trafford.

There's clearly some life left in Sanchez, he's found a new lease of life at Inter after the break, I wonder whether it might be worth giving him another chance as Solskjaer discarded him after mere 6 months.

problem is they’re lowballing just like Roma is with Smalling. rather keep Smalling. Some prem club would throw 30M+ at him and just ask him to only defend and hes good at that.

doubtful Alexis will fit back at United. he already stymied Rashford and Martial for 18 months, they hit their groove. best for all parties to separate like the Lukaku deal.

Smalling is worth keeping if the offer is not right. Could use the help and depth at CB. There are some issues there.

Unload Sanchez for whatever you can get to try to offload some of the wages.
Already have significant amounts of good attacking talent now and will/should be looking at picking up another proper winger or striker.
Hes not going to get better with more age.

Nine Premier League clubs - Arsenal, Burnley, Chelsea, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle, Tottenham and Wolves - filed an application to CAS for City to be banned from European competition if a verdict was not reached before the start of the 2020-21 season.

How convenient. They'be been operating on deficits since their takeover by the Glazers, they've spent billions without achieving shit and are the first to point fingers

Joke of a club.

One of the worst refereeing robberies I've seen in some time though. Also multiple key injuries. Arsenal just lucked out.

Nah, Arsenal had Chelsea on toast from 15th minute onwards.

Second yellow for Kovacic pretty much killed the game but even before that Chelsea never looked like scoring again.
