I'm not talking about a fifa ranking or which team performs the best as of today, otherwise it would be pretty silly placing Spain 2nd and Italy 5th when Italy just beat Spain 2-0


I'm talking about which teams have the best squads on paper / in theory.


Chile smashed Argentina in two consecutive finals, but individually I'd rather have a team with Argentina's players than Chile's

Iceland on paper is not even top 50 in the world and England has..


Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Joe Hart, Sterling etc and still lose to them.

and players on the bench.... Oscar, Filipe Luis, L. Gustavo, Willian, Firmino, Marquinhos, Miranda all quality players that could probably all walk into the starting XI of Colombia/Chile imo.



If you'd mix Chile and Brazil's XI, would you honestly have any other chilean other than Vidal, Bravo and Sanchez? maybe Vargas? Same applies with Colombia, but with James Rodriguez and Cuardrado? (maybe Ospina?)

but I'd still take that squad over Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, Portugal, Chile... But barely.
