Well in his defense, he never really had the time or material to adapt to more playing styles. He won hardly anything with Vitesse becasuse they had 11++ new players each year. Everytime when it started to go well, the season came to an end. With AJax he didn't adapt because they were just used to one style since IDK early december maybe. I understand that they cannot yet comprehand two styles. He might have gotten that into play this year. I never followed him at Macabbi. So maybe given the material he has now (better and more experienced players) he might be able to bring some offensive AND defensive playstyles to BVB. Time will tell
