would love for ajax to win this but my money's on united. given how underwhelming their PL season was, this is their only chance to somewhat save the season and make it into champions league to prevent another year of thursday night football. would be extremely embarrassing for them to lose this given the insane amount of money they spent to build this team...

I hope Ajax at least plays like they've managed the last couple of games, with all their flair. They are in their best form yet this season, have had a week of rest, a week to fully prepare for this match. I really hope they play well and win.

It's been too long since the Eredivisie has won something, too long since big money teams have lost a final to a team filled with youngstars, at least in my honest opinion.

Given the season United have had I do not dare bet on this match, logic says they win but in a big final all that is off the table anyway.

couldn't agree more - with both of the statements actually.

if you play like the first game against schalke, without any fear and respect of the "bigger" club (in schalke's case obviously just budget and league related - historically, ajax is the internationally more significant club ofc), then obviously everything is possible.
but i really don't see it happening, sorry bro. too much at stake for united: their only chance to redeem themselves for a very mediocre season (which includes their EL performances btw, they were lucky to even make it into the final imo), while for ajax it has already been a rather solid season...

Haven't won anything, they don't have anything to lose really, if they can get in that mindset everything is possible. Also, young kids who are fighting for their place in the Champions League. I still think its very possible, they always seem to score so why not tonight.

well, they haven't won anything alright, but aren't they still in CL quali nonetheless? so this isn't technically their only chance to make it into CL next year, right? also, i really HOPE i'm wrong, i'm just giving you my reasons for putting my money on united, that's all...

Technically not. But you know as well as I do we are too low on the ranking list to get an opponent we can actually beat in the playoffs.
