A sad day for my English boys. Excuses never get us anywhere, and the only explanation is that we just weren't good enough.

I admire Roy for bringing a side with a good amount of youth, but I do not think that he knows how to tactically set up a team. I think England needs a much better manager, one that can utilize the strength, speed, and ability of our younger lads. This team could flourish for 2016 and hope that they do.

Still one more game left, flying to Belo Horizonte on Sunday and will still by cheering for my England even if I'm the only one in a game that means nothing for my boys. Let's go England!

Haha, england is good enough, it just has a shit manager.

They're not good enough. Not yet anyways. I am definitely anti-Roy and his tactics are a joke. His involvement was one of our biggest downfalls, but also, our players lacked passion and commitment and I feel they still could have given a lot more than they did.

In the game against Italy I actually thought they showed passion. I think they were a bit disheartened after putting in a solid performance and not getting anything out of it, and that feeling sort of trickled into their match against Uruguay.

I don't like Hodgson, but he positively surprised me during this WC (dispite getting knocked out after 2 games).

He set up the team very nicely against Italy, and in both games he made the right substitutions imo... England created chances, it's not his fault the players didn't score them.

And they lost against 2 teams that were considered to be better than them, it's not like it's a big shock that they lost the games. Both games could have gone either way.

England has a promising generation coming up, this experience will be positive for the team dispite going back home early.

What are you talking about ? He was pure failure vs italy. Should have asked the players to give space on the ball, not very likely italy would have gone through balo, balo between 2 central defenders is almost guaranteed to fail. He almost never drops to create space, and marchisio was actually on wing, pirlo lacks the sprint and de rossi was dropped between central defs. Who would attack the space ? No1 ofc. He failed to see the left flank being exposed by candreva who shitted on baines. In such situations either you assign a defender, a holder from mid or drop the winger to cover for baines` errors. He didn`t do shit. Waited and prayed to score on luck.

England squad is decent enough to go to 16, even quarters. Its manager should never coach football again tho. England deserves the sending off for naming a coach that achieved success with a shitty team ages ago.

You don't fail in competitive tournements year after year just because of bad managers. A better manager would help, but alot of the players are overhyped and not enough premier league players are english.

Gerrard and rooney, mate.

Shouldn't have been called up.

Gerrard has a fail end of season, while rooney was always a complete embarassment for england.

I still say it. Bad manager.

I wish I could just go into my own thread and for once not be forced to read keyboard diarrhoea of a mental invalid.
