For me all that is not the reason we went out in group stage - honestly, the players prbly dont give a crap about all these politics/media shanaigans when they are on the pitch. It may have effected özil and gündogan - but if you look at Neuer, about whom there was also alot of talk before the tourney it can also have a postive effect, the "I wanna show em all now" effect so it can always go either way. We mostly failed due to lack of the right tactics in the right moment and lack of the right striker in the box.
