Every coach has an assistant coach. I'm sure Spain will prevail and secure a top 4 finish this World Cup. They have all the talent in the world.
Nobody cares if we reach semis now. Only a win would be acceptable. Before this sacking, we all knew we had a chance of winning. Everyone was happy with how the team had been performing, and we could have accepted a semifinal run with good performances and the players playing their hearts out. We could have been proud of that, even if we didn't win the WC. But we knew we had a chance of winning the title... we weren't favourites, but we had a very serious chance. And now, Rubiales has destroyed that. If finish in the top 4, but don't win the tournament, it will just feel like we would have won it if Lopetegui hadn't been sacked. Now the least we can demand is the title, because that was the goal before the sacking.

Thought he just extended his contract
Why can he just leave all of a sudden with a running contract?
Madrid is going to pay his release clause. Even the FA announced this yesterday... that they were letting him go for the release clause AFTER the WC... I don't understand this sudden and retarded shift.
