Why do i want to go watch RSL ?
I support Celtic lol i have a season ticket.

Gz. But doesn't a season ticket in Scotland cost like 4 potatoes?

And you literally just have to show up to win the league, pretty depressing after exiling your only challenge to the lower leagues.

awww, the delicate israeli flower will be deeply offended if you fly a palestinian flag...

i really don't know what the UEFA expects when they tell the fans of ANY club NOT to do a specific thing, but i can tell you what the most likely outcome will be: exactly the opposite!

just imagine they told italian fans not to wear or show any crosses while their club is playing against a turkish club - because, you know, religion has no place in football and it would offend them... and imagine what the reaction would be then - from the fans as well as here on jsp.
now i'm not saying it's exactly the same but the line between what's considered to be "political" and what's not seems to be quite arbitrary and rather dependent on who feels offended and complains about it than how "bad" the offence actually is.

at the very least it's safe to assume that ppl who label or even think the palestinian flags are "pure provocation" either know nothing about celtic's history or ignore it on purpose.

also, whatever you think about "political protest" being acceptable in a football stadium or not, fact is that the world is largely looking away when it comes to israel's crimes against the palestinians and bringing attention to that does not HURT anyone...

You're on a whole new level of stupid, holy shit. Great comparison m8, message chelsea11 I'm sure you two could have wonderful conversations for hours on end.

maybe you could elaborate on why this is so "stupid" instead of resorting to ad hominem. why do you consider his point invalid?

This would be acceptable if Israel and Palestine had a football rivalry, and flying palestinian flags was some kind of football banter to piss off the israelis... but no, the reason Israel and Palestine are against each other are political/religious. So bringing a political/relgiious conflict into a football stadium is unacceptable imo.

It wasn't anything to piss off anyone, As i said before Celtic have been flying Palestinian flags for years and years, Just so happens there was a bit more because we were playing a team from Israel.
It was a fantastic gesture and i'll keep saying i was proud to part of this and i'm proud to part of the Celtic Family.

Again, you know absolutly nothing about football.
Whats the price of a season got to do with football? Have you ever looked into each countries season ticket policy
Go look up Bayern Munich + Barcelona Season ticket price.
To compare a football team with a season ticket price is simply Stupid.

Yeah it's true, Theres not much competition but we are a Passionate.
We still play in Europe.
Celtic have pretty muched qualified for the Champions League Group Stages already going through 3 Qualifiers
for such a low budget team, Not even 5% of what english premier league teams get, We still put on a good show in the Champions league,
And i cannot wait for a european night at Celtic, Just read what some of the greats have said about playing at Celtic park.
I.E Pirlo Xavi Messi Ronaldo, Go far back as Di Stefano, Eusebio.

Long story short.
Doesn't matter what league you play in, This Topic was about something Celtic done in Solidarity.
