I just don't think he would work there unfortunately. Playing both Kevin and Silva leaves us so exposed even with Fernandinho cleaning up everything. We would need a Puyol like defender to pull it off in the PL.

That's why Pep signed Stones. He brings the pace needed to follow counter-attacking strikers/wingers whenever Silva/de Bruyne lose the ball too early.
I'm 100% sure Silva will be a regular starter though. He's the best overall football player regarding everything from technique, dribbling to vision and passing skills in your whole squad hands-down.

he played thiago as lone holder at bayern and we got annihilated by dortmund

I think Barca greatest threat during that era was fast counter attacking minnows, which...a lot of PL teams are.

I would love to have Silva play a little deeper, cazorla like.

Fernand(inh)o

Winger A - Agüero - Winger B


Would still be my guess.
Maybe even leave Otamendi out should Pep find the other Brazilian midfielder of the two more suitable as a CB.

Zabaleta over Sagna, as Sagna doesn't have to offer anything except being physically stronger^^
Clichy since there is no actual alternative in your squad afaik.

I think that's how he might line up, but I'm hoping he doesn't.

I think he'll do something like this

Nolito/Sterling Aguero Sane
De Bruyne Fernandinho
Fernando/Delph(surprisingly good pre-season)
Clichy Stones Otamendi Sagna

yeah because the tactically inept premier league will be able to exploit it ^^
barely any team/coach there has the slightest idea how to press against peps teams
