i am well aware of the stuff the eu provides, however for me thats not much compared to the disadvantages

again, you are the one who seems to feels inferior. asking you to be reasonable and a little more objective, asking you to name some of the "huge number of viable arguments against the eu" instead of resorting to half assed statements like "we just need a free market and we don't need brussels for that" is NOT coming from a feeling of superiority but a genuine interest how you came to these conclusions, what you base them on.
i'm sure your "university education in physics and chemistry" that enables you to realise "what facts are and what not", also allows you to name these "facts" that made you come to the conclusion we'd be better off without the EU. you want to be treated like an adult? why don't you start behaving like one?
