Löw's 23 will most likely not include Schmelzer, Durm or Weigl from Dortmund. He'll go with Antonio Rüdiger, Emre Can and probably even one of Rudy/Volland/Kimmich.
He'll also leave out one of Trapp/ter Stegen in favor of Zieler.
If Schwenisteiger's injury has healed by then, he'll take the spot of Volland/Rudy/Kimmich. Since I do not consider any of them ready to play for the national team yet, might as well be Schweini. Otherwise I'd hope for his injury to take him out over the summer, even though he's done so much for Germany...

Dude, Schweinsteiger is the first name on the team sheet, just because you hate him now because he plays for Manchester United, in reality it means nothing.

Already wrote that. He'll go if his injury doesn't keep him out. I still don't see him starting the first 2 or 3 games... Löw will probably bench him until KO phase.
Also I don't hate him. I just think he's too old and not fit/healthy enough anymore to rely on him for the entire tournament. I actually like him and feel he is criticized too much.

On the contrary. Despite being used mostly as a sub (something he should not be as he is best striker in the juve squad), he made an impact in almost any game he was introduced.

Quality player imo. Decent speed, decent control, decent movement both on and off the ball, hell even headers. If he keeps this up, he'll be over Kareem in notime (althoui i appreciate Benz a whole lot)

He should be a starter before anyone else imo.



Schmelzer is very limited and declined a lot since 2013. Durm is shittier than Kevin and still has rookie mistakes almost every single game (and not a single one), Weigl has been solid this season but its too early to say - 2nd division player.

Trapp is meh, alternating good/bad games while ter stegen has been an absolute embrarassment for barcelona and has only slighty picked himself up lately. Not deserving the bench.
Schweinsteiger is 2-3 years past it, Pep had such flair in letting him go.

What other central midfielder would you consider other than Fábregas or Sergi Roberto? There's Gabi, but imo he's kind of past it. Anyone else wouldn't have too much experience at the highest level. I probably wouldn't call either.

About the RB, it doesn't worry me too much. You could make a case for Azpi, Juanfran, Carvajal, Coke, Mario and Bellerín; they'd all do well. You can even have Sergi Roberto playing as a RB lol, it's literally the most irrelevant of Spain's problems.

He misses too many chances though. I think he has potential to be great, but I'm not fully convinced yet. Looking at Aduriz's form (who scored against Italy yesterday btw to slam Del Bosque ), it's pretty clear to me who should be our starting number 9
