i honestly think 2010 should have been a toss-up between sneijder and schweini but yeah, it's always been a popularity contest and the only ones who really care about it are some crazy asian and arab internet football "fans" and the super egos of the sport (like cronaldo who always looks super pissed and personally insulted when he doesn't win it)...

it was so much better when the award was handed out by France Football... FIFA just took the name and gave it to their shitty FWP award that always went to the same players no matter what.
