Suarez is making excuses for the fact he cant score lol...
Just look at Ronaldo at United scoring vs him at Real Madrid. 100% difference
Now I'm not really taking any sides of this argument and genuinely believe that EPL defenders are better than la ligas but this statement is just bullshit.
Why do people try to compare the United Ronnie and the Real Ronnie by how many goals he scored? Its so stupid for many reasons:
1. Age:
United: Age 19-24 (basically growing up)
Real: 24-30 (basically his entire peak)
2. position
At United, he actually was a winger
At Real Madrid, he's a pure striker on all but paper.
3. His increase in goals are by no means the difference in difficulty to score in la liga and EPL and proven by Ronnie goal statistics in the Champions League.
Here's a few numbers to think on:
At United Ronaldo scored 84 goals in in 196 EPL games which is 0.42 goals per game
At Real Madrid, Ronnie has 202 goals in 179 games which is 1.12 goals per game
but that has NOTHING to do with la liga vs EPL, for the reasons I mentioned above. And here's why:
At United Ronnie scored 16 goals in 55 games in the Champions league which is 0.29 goals per game, slightly worse statistic than in the Prem League
At Real Madrid, Ronnie scored 57 goals in 57 games @ UCL which is 1 goal per game, slightly worse than his la liga record.
tl;dr: Real Madrid's Cristiano is far superior / has a different role than the Cristiano of united, hence the scoring difference, and the leagues have nothing to do with it.This post was edited by MGS4BestGameEverMade on Dec 28 2014 11:45am
