I think people here tend to forget what forwards do? It is a forwards job to get the ball across the line, it doesnt matter how. A forward can be a ghost for 89 minutes and then pounce on that one chance and score. doesnt matter if he capitilizes on one person mistakes, etc. a goal is a goal.

I agree with you, As of right now, Aguero looks to be in the best form.

Not in this football era. A modern striker needs to be able to play with the team instead of just finishig.

Nope. Most forwards drop into midfield to receive the ball, bring others into play and create goals (as well as scoring them). Doing nothing and then scoring isn't enough, unless you are scoring a goal a game.

Still, any team would benefit if there is a van Nistelrooy/Inzaghi at front.

Ofcourse, but not every "goalgetter" is on that level like them.

Since neither Messi nor Ronaldo are strikers.. Right now Sergio Aguero is the best striker in the world imo. Better than Ibra, Benzema Suarez and Costa (the rest of the top 5 imo)

for instance ...lukaku is trash. teamwise or as a guy who "pounces".

38 mios for that is simply a ripoff.

No, they are very rare these days. I can't really name one. Maybe Benzema, but he is also very much a teamplayer. Cavani does not score enough, same goes for Huntelaar. There are a few in the Eredivisie but they are very young and well, it's the Eredivisie, they aren't even at a top tier club yet. IDK

RVP when fit probably fits into that category
