70s

-------------Buffon------------
--Puyol----Cannavaro----Nesta--
Figo----Pirlo-----Ballack----Nedved
----------Del Piero---Zidane-------
-----------------Klose-----------------

Subs: Totti, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Beckham, Gattuso, plenty more

Took me a while to think but I think this squad and setup would do best, really dangerous from flanks and all around midfield ofc

/e - or if you went 4 men back

-------------------Buffon-----------------
Puyol-----Cannavaro-----Nesta------Zanetti
----------Ballack---------Pirlo---------
Totti-----------Zidane-----------Del Piero
-------------------Klose-----------------

I would probably go with this now that I think about it

In both cases you'd pick Klose over Ronaldo?

A prime/uninjured Ronaldo would have retired with more goals than games :bouncy:

Well I feel the midfielders (minus Zidane) are highly debatable. Nedved, Pirlo and Ballack are good choices obviously but from a pure defensive stand point you'd need an agressive/strong holding DM like Makelele or Gattuso IMO.

Seedorf would have been a good choice too...

While Ronaldo vs some one other than Ronaldo isn't up for a debate in my humble opinion :p

I hear you m8 , so many options but yeah I really like Klose over Ronaldo, but Ronaldo was a pure animal, so many interchangeable options. Also depends on what type of play you'd want to go for. Wish i could play 70s vs 80s on FIFA lol
