First of all, he ain`t a striker to score via pace. He is more the type of hold => pass.
So pacey or not, doesn`t matter.
Secondly, his acceleration sucks. He`s no ronaldo9. So even if he could run decently (reach decent speed), his 10m sprint to beat a defender = lol.

Overall a striker to avoid. No wonder arsenal, city, madrid got rid of him. Tottenham will also if they are smart.
