Hummels hasn't even been that good, personally I don't rate Noyer at all either.
If it wasn't for Argentina, Germany would've been the team that have played worst football this tournament by far, just scrapping through every round.

Rodriguez impressed me the most, however Robben has been really consistant, Messi managed to scrape Argentina trough the group stage and Müller provided lots of goals for Germany.

A lot of people are voting James Rodriguez, I believe he's a worthy candidate (hence placement on the poll) but his team only made it to the quarter finals, plus he's almost got an award with his name on it - Fifa young player award.

The young player award will go to either Neymar or James Rodriguez, despite both only making it to the QF.

The 4 first are the strongest candidates IMO. One player from each of the 4 remaining teams. then again, one of the strikers could score a hat trick in the semis and again a goal or two in the finals and steal the award, who knows.

they dont give awards for 1 good game , ronaldo scored both goals in final 2002 and even played great the rest of the tourney the trophy still went to kahn
