Every time there's a danger of finally making some sort of tangible progress, we're taking a sizeable step back - losing to Bournemouth side in horrible form like this who haven't won in 5 and scored since September prior to today

well even in 16/17 Ibra Martial Rashford and Pogba etc. were playing late in the group stages until qualification was sealed. Younger players and Lingard can play the next two matches

this competition again will be the most likely way of UCL qualifying (and it’s a massive stretch to say that) unless there’s some massive return to form in the league.

Fair point, while I don't think qualification or even winning last night was ever in danger, perhaps if we had someone more difficult than Brighton at home on Sunday, Solskjaer would've rested more players.
