Diego simeone reconstructed Atletico in 1 season.
Utd needed 5 years and they have bottom table players.

I mean Daniel James is okay United-wise but wouldn't make the bench for City.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard all injured and won't be playing tomorrow - pound for pound Leicester's first team is probably stronger at the moment, not really looking forward to tomorrow.

The injury situation is pretty rough, but im just happy the international break is over. Still expect us to beat LC

Potential good opportunity to see Gomes and Greenwood get some playing time. Heard they were held out of the u23 game again.

The fact that missing those players is considered worrying, is what is really worrying about Man Utd. Honestly, I don't see how the club will return to their rightful place as one of the top clubs in Europe in the next 5 years or so.

thats how important pogba is to the team. without him, 0 creativity whatsoever and the team has to rely fully
on running all game to barely create something. the attack lost all potency when mata was subbed.
good 3 pts in any case.

I feel like you watch a different game than everyone else

Mata wasn't good or effective today and he was tired and we were getting pressured in the several minutes leading up to him getting smacked in the neck and subbed off, with very little attack to speak of.
Fred and Chong coming on changed the dynamic of the game and they immediately started creating attacks and getting more possession.

probably the first game since opening match that Ole got the subs right.

the knocks will pile up as the squad is way too thin. moving out some players was smart but not enough replacements even with the academy kids being involved (and they aren’t supposed to be starters now, we’re not talking about a 17-18 year old Rooney or Cristiano no matter how much potential Greenwood has)

what. mata was everywhere linking and releasing the faster players left right and center. chong lost possession inside 5mins than everyone inside 90.
yea and he did run out of gas. so did most since everyone was sprinting non stop

This isn't consistent with the game, the play-by-play or anyone else's review of the game and players.

Very little was being created before he was subbed off, and then they immediately started gaining possession and taking shots.
He clearly was gassing more than others and is known for it at this stage in his career. His slow speed and lack of stamina is why many are calling for Gomes, Fred and others to see more opportunities to start games instead of him.
He can provide some offensive creativity late in games when we are looking to push for a winning or come-from-behind goal. That was the opposite of the case in this game as Leicester had most of the possession and United was defending an early lead.

Quote
72' Attempt missed. Daniel James (Manchester United) left footed shot from outside the box is too high. Assisted by Andreas Pereira.
82' Scott McTominay (Manchester United) wins a free kick in the attacking half.
83' Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) hits the bar with a right footed shot from outside the box from a direct free kick.
87' Attempt saved. Andreas Pereira (Manchester United) right footed shot from outside the box is saved in the bottom left corner. Assisted by Marcus Rashford.

vs no shots for long stretches and LC dominating possession most of the 2nd half.

Juan Mata

Played in his preferred playmaker role again and disappointed. Seemed stifled by Leicester's crowded midfield and could not really get going. 5

CAM: Juan Mata – 5

Stung Schmiechel’s hands with a drive and drifted into some promising areas but his lack of pace harms United in attack.

Quote
Juan Mata - 6

Kept United pushing forward when he could and missed a good chance, which he made for himself, early in the second half. Ran out of steam and was an obvious man to be replaced.
