De Gea this season has been POOR.
Every defender has been POOR. Sure, for a week or two, all of them have had their fair share of good performances but as a whole, they all have been sub par.
Pogba had a good stretch but has otherwise been poor. 100 million man? Not at all.
Sanchez? I don't even need to write anything.
Lukaku? Same here.
Out of all the top clubs around all the leagues, Man Utd probably has the worst squad, no question.

Bit of an overreaction, I'd say getting rid of bad eggs in the dressing room should be the priority - Pogba, Sanchez and maybe Martial - all three should go.

Lindelof has been good to very good this season, definitely a man to build defence around.

Transfer wise, a right winger is priority and then replacements / upgrades for whoever gets sold.

Ole will play the youth, the problem is there needs to be some sort of base for the youth to rely upon. The older youth Rashford or Martial are not ready to lead at 21-23 the way Ronaldo or even Rooney were, and even then those two had Scholes/Giggs/Neville/Keane/RvN etc at first to shoulder the leadership

This is a really good point my friend.

7 years on from SAF with no champions league football and an inexperienced manager really limits the calibre of player you can get.

I'm not sure players with the ability or reputation of Di Maria, Depay, Mkhi, Lukaku etc would be that interested in joining yanited compared to a few years ago.

im not sure what the strategy is going forward my friend but buying Di Maria and Lukaku for many millions proved useless. And extending players who are rotational at best on first team wages isn’t doing the trick either.

SAF would throw money at specific needs later on (van Persie when the prior year the only goal producer was Rooney and the title was lost on GD) or talent that was can’t miss. Or he’d sign direct replacements for positions that were need (Carrick in 2006 comes to mind). Since then it’s just been throw money because well it sounds fun, yes SAF is gone but the decision-making really has been brainless at points. Every decent buy has been mismanaged too (Blind - gone, Herrera - about to to on a free, Mata - almost always played out of position, Ibra - short term solution with no successor)

I would keep de gea, lindelof, Shaw, Herrera, mctominay, rashford, dalot and mata. Chuck everyone else out and start over
