Those types have been called more and more over time. Tbh I can see it happening that somewhere in the future the ambiguity will be taken away and intent will no longer matter with all handballs being called.

Obviously rules currently leave room for Interpretation
As long as the rules remain like that I‘m shocked that a situation like that (even more in times of VAR )is called
