that being said, huge respect to italy. although i had the feeling we were in control of the game most of the time, you guys really did a great job defensively and didn't allow us to create too many chances. pretty much as expected, a very tactically mature performance and the penalty was an obvious one and well taken by bonucci, no idea what was going through boateng's mind, my first thought was that he wasn't even trying to block the ball but rather lifting his arms to signal that he wasn't pushing the italian player but i'm not sure...
penalty shootout was a mess obviously. müller (who still does that shit of trying to look if and where the goalie moves instead of committing to a corner and placing a real shot) and schweini were really bad, özil just unlucky imo. hector's was bad too, very lucky buffon couldn't keep it out.
overall still a deserved win for germany in my opinion, this should have been the final though or at the very least a semifinal match. italy had by far the hardest draw, i don't think anyone can argue that. again, nothing but respect, it was an epic fight.

Also Italy keeps getting massively hit in the midfield... Playing with third string players.

Look at all my bets on jsp tho, I think I'm 5 wins and 1 loss this year.

it was close, yes - but we were still the better team overall. so "easy win for italy" is just dead wrong.
italy scored from a penalty and defended with 9 players ever since, not even trying anything offensively, just hoping to make it to the penalty shootout somehow.

and concerning injuries, we have similar problems: reus and gündogan missing for the whole tournament, khedira out injured after just 15 minutes (will be missing the semi final for sure), gomez out injured after 70 minutes (will be missing the rest of the tournament)...

Reus, gundogan, Gomez LOL. Yeah these are top notch players.
None of those are really better than what u have, whereas marchisio and verratti are much better than what Italy had in the midfield.

ridiculous. name one german winger who's even close to reus. gündogan is one of the top box to box midfielders in the game. khedira starts every game he's fit, gomez is our ONLY real striker in the team - who can replace those players with the same quality in your opinion? i'm seriously amazed at how you manage not to be embarrassed by the stupidity of your posts, exposing your complete lack of any football knowledge on a daily basis.

are you really still that mad because all of "your" teams have been eliminated? oh, and nice dodge on the fact that germany was the better team and that your prediction was completely wrong.

Why do you even bother mate. Italy's defense was quite solid. They should have attacked a little more, but yes Germany was better overall. And claiming Reus Gundogan and Gomez arent top tier did make chelsea11 even more ridiculous than he already was.

Gundogan sure, reus is good when not injured so u can't think that he was even going to play. And how is Gomez top tier atm?
