the problem is that in a league full of foreign stars, english youth players hardly get the chance to play in teams that play international competition. and as soon as someone shows some promise he gets massively overhyped, overpriced and under huge amounts of pressure...
let's hope guys like barkley, sterling and oxlade-chamberlain keep getting their chances - would be good for the english national team imo...
That's not true at all, the current England team is miles better than the sides of 70s, 80s and early 90s when the league was pretty much British only.
The golden generation of Beckham, Owen, Gerrard, Ferdinand, Lampard etc - all came through when the Premier League was already full of foreigners.

the youth system in england seems to be crap as well
other nations have far more and better young players to come into the team

quite obvious yesterday, no technical skills, no tactical and positional sense
its painful to watch
like an amateur team

A sad day for my English boys. Excuses never get us anywhere, and the only explanation is that we just weren't good enough.

I admire Roy for bringing a side with a good amount of youth, but I do not think that he knows how to tactically set up a team. I think England needs a much better manager, one that can utilize the strength, speed, and ability of our younger lads. This team could flourish for 2016 and hope that they do.

Still one more game left, flying to Belo Horizonte on Sunday and will still by cheering for my England even if I'm the only one in a game that means nothing for my boys. Let's go England!
