Real Madrid reportedly want to offer Jose Mourinho a quick return to football management after his departure from Manchester United.

Mourinho was removed as United manager after two-and-a-half years in charge on Tuesday, with the club struggling in the Premier League.

A 3-1 loss to Liverpool on Sunday was his last match in charge with the result leaving the Red Devils 11 points off the top four and 19 points adrift of Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders.

However, he could be back in management sooner than expected as his reputation around Europe still remains high as one of the most successful managers of all time.

Spanish newspaper El Pais claims that La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to offer him job as manager in an attempt to rebuild their squad.

Real president Florentino Perez is known to be a huge admirer of Mourinho and has already tried to tempt him back twice this season.

Julen Lopetegui got Real off to a nightmare start this season, before he was sacked and replaced by former player Santiago Solari.

However, Real are still fourth in La Liga and were recently humiliated at home in the Champions League when they lost 3-0 to CSKA Moscow.

And Perez reportedly doesn’t see Solari as the long-term solution to Real’s problems and wants to see a complete overhaul of the current squad.

The report continues by saying that Perez already offered Mourinho £18million after tax to take over earlier in the campaign as well as complete control of buying and selling players.

And Mourinho reportedly remains the man he wants to demolish the current team and start afresh with new players.

Paul Pogba was heard shouting “he f**ked with the wrong baller” after the announcement of Jose Mourinho’s sacking at Manchester United, according to reports.

A report on Wednesday claimed that Pogba was handing out high-fives in the dressing room after the Portuguese coach left.

Mourinho fell out with a host of players during his tenure at United with his poor relationship with Pogba grabbing all the headlines.

And now The Sun claims that Pogba was heard shouting: “He thought he could make a fool of me and turn the fans against me. He f***ed with the wrong baller.”

The report continues by saying that Michael Carrick, who had been taking training ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival at the club as caretaker boss, told Pogba to stop his celebrations and insisted to the players that no player will be bigger than the club.

It is understood that the celebrations continued privately even after Carrick warned the United players about being disrespectful to the club.

Pogba was quick to react to Mourinho’s dismissal, posting “Caption this!” alongside a picture of himself adopting a knowing look on social media following the Portuguese’s departure on Tuesday, but later deleted the post.

The post even drew a furious rebuttal from former United man Gary Neville, who simply responded: “You do one as well!”.

Regardless of the excuse from Pogba’s team that it was a scheduled marketing post, the Daily Mail reports that the Red Devils will fine the World Cup winner.

Jose Mourinho gave up on Paul Pogba after the midfielder reacted badly to being told to play like Frank Lampard, according to reports.

The France international and Mourinho’s relationship soured badly towards the end of the Portuguese coach’s reign after several high-profile incidents between the pair, including a training ground clash.

The Sun claims that Mourinho tried to improve Pogba’s attitude after he stripped the Manchester United midfielder of the vice-captaincy earlier in the season.

Mourinho pointed to Lampard as the example of the ‘perfect midfielder’ for Pogba to try and emulate during a meeting between the pair.

However, the report continues by claiming that the advice went down badly as Pogba asked Mourinho if Lampard had won a World Cup.

Pogba won the World Cup in the summer with France but his displays for United have been a long way from those produced in Russia.

Sources close to Mourinho told The Sun that from that moment on the manager decided Pogba was ‘impossible to work with’ due to his ‘petulance and arrogance’.

Since Mourinho’s departure, reports have claimed that Pogba high-fived team-mates in the dressing room on learning the news, while he was heard shouting ‘He f**ked with the wrong baller‘.

Molde boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been brought in until the end of the campaign and will be joined by first-team coach Mike Phelan, who will work alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

Pogba can only dream of being as effective football player as Lampard was.

If Pogba had even half of Lampard's application and footballing brain, he'd be twice the player he is at the moment.
