As bad as we are at the moment, Madrid are at another level of wretchedness, 0:3 at home to CSKA ffs

Fancy our chances against Typical Germans too against Croatian David Moyes.

Alexis Sanchez's Manchester United woes made worse by a FRIDGE
EXCLUSIVE: Sanchez has struggled since joining United last January — and a dressing-room fridge added to his unhappiness

Alexis Sanchez has been left in the cold at Old Trafford — by a fridge in the dressing room.

Chile striker Sanchez has found himself frozen out of the Manchester United matchday squad on several occasions this season, prompting claims he could leave in the summer.

Now it has emerged the former Arsenal forward has also felt the chill of a drinks cooler in the Old Trafford dressing room.

It is understood the Sanchez’s seat and locker were adjacent to the appliance, which holds cold drinks for Jose Mourinho’s stars. Each time it was opened by a team-mate or member of Mourinho’s staff, the £450,000-a-week star was hit with a cold draught that left him chilly.

Sanchez is believed to have complained about the fridge, which has now been moved.

An Old Trafford insider said: “Sanchez wasn’t happy that he was forever being hit with cold air when the cooler was opened.

“In a busy dressing room, the fridge is used continually before the game, at half-time and full-time and it became an annoyance for him. Club maintenance staff were called in to sort it out, which has been done.

“The comfort and well-being of the players is always of paramount importance, especially somewhere like the dressing room which is a critical area on match days.”

Sanchez scored 80 times for Arsenal after a £30million move from Spanish giants Barcelona in July 2014.

He was the Gunners’ top scorer with 30 goals in all competitions the season before he left The Emirates last January in a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. But the South American has been disappointing since his arrival at Old Trafford, scoring only one goal in 10 league games this campaign after just two in 12 last season.

A hamstring injury in training last week means Sanchez is facing a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
