must be even more fun to see this as a liverpool/city supporter

overrated as fuck, he is pure shot stopper and even at that not exactly great right now

Very satisfying. We had our issues a few years ago.. but at this rate I think Liverpool will finally pass United. I didn't think 8 or so years ago that there would ever even be a slight chance of it. Their Pakistani following will shift to another team anytime now.

Yeah but managers can get the wrong players in sometimes. At least he realised that early on and attempted to rectify it in the summer.

That's the look of a man who knows he's finished imo.

Then maybe he should try to coach and improve them instead of buying new ones, how many players did Guardiola or Klopp discard after buying them a season prior?

Tbf to Mourinho, if they got a world class or very good central defender like he wanted, they wouldn't have conceded most of the goals today or vs Brighton.

how much did they pay for bailly and lindelöf again?

i think they clearly overpaid on both, especially lindelöf, but it's not like they have absolutely no quality whatsoever. in that regard it surely doesn't help build their confidence that mourinho is leaving them out of the squad / starting eleven and instead puts herrera at cb, who not unexpectedly was absolutely shocking - it's almost like it was more important to him to send a signal to ed woodward (about something that can't be changed now anyway since the transfer window is closed) than to field a proper team...

I agree Mourinho is past it, but he still managed to win the league with Chelsea just a few years ago. United would have lost that game with any manager today because their defense is a mess. Mourinho has to take responsibility in his choice of player recruitment but today they weren't playing defensive or not creating enough chances.
