I guess he really trusts Young and Valencia to do a job, with Shaw and Dalot being their understudies for the season. Who plays right wing currently, Lingard?

He spent £30m+ on Bailly and Lindelof and won't even play them now, besides we still have Jones, Smalling and Rojo who are perfectly good back up options.

Dalot is young and injured until September so can't really count on him to walk into the first team, both Valencia and Young are converted wingers rather than actual full backs, both are also 30 years old +, Shaw is a difficult one, Jose doesn't seem to trust him.

We need someone with pace who can cross the ball and stretch the opposition defence, Mata lacks pace and likes to cut inside while Lingard has great work ethics and is a great squad option, but not really a starting eleven player for a club aiming to win titles.
