Amazing, but still makes me wonder why some people try to claim that 2014 is Messi's worst year ever. Its actually far from it, but in fact his 4th best year of his 11 season career and just 1 goal shy of his third best-ever year.

Yeah but the logic I've heard people use is...

"Ronaldo's scored 62 goals in his best year (even though 2012 was the year he scored the most) while Messi has 58 goals in his worst year" (even though only 3 seperate years has he scored more)

Goal-wise I think 2014 is Ronaldo's third best year and Messi's 4th best year.


trophy wise Messi's best years were 2009, 2010 and 2011. ironically his amazing 2012 calender year didn't bring in any trophies.


But no one would argue 2012 was Messi's best year ^^
