The thing is. He never stepped on his foot. He never applied pressure. He placed it on him but never was there pressure. So your argument is invalid.
it's funny you'd say that because i'm saying the EXACT same thing you are saying, the only difference is our evaluation according to the rules. i fully agree that layun applied no pressure to speak of (maybe the term 'stepping' i used was inaccurate then, not 100% sure), and i'm also quite confident to say that neymar was NOT hurt at all. that is, however, completely irrelevant - deliberately (and i'm sure you're gonna contest this point, but i'm also sure that were it the other way around you would share my opinion) putting your foot on someone like that is a bookable offence - i'm assuming the only reason layun was not punished was neymars absoltely ridiculous reaction.
let's not fight about it though, i assume and fully understand that you're pretty gutted right now seeing how passionately mexicans celebrated their victory over us and their qualification for the round of 16. your boys put up a very good and brave fight, but brazil was just that bit better today - and i'm sure you'll be able to acknowledge that once the dust settles. there's always a next time and maybe the draw and the football gods will be more kind to you then. cheers...
