250 of those 253 injuries from arsenal are probably from Diaby.

The Japan international rejected the offer of a new contract with Dortmund as he sets his sights on a move to the Premier League.

And the Red Devils appear to the head the queue for the midfielder's signature after he exchanged "good words" with Ferguson during a two-hour meeting.

"It was good that I was able to meet him in person and talk," Kagawa told reporters on his return to Japan to prepare for the international friendly against Azerbaijan.

"I want to think hard before making my decision. I want a team where I can take on challenges."

The 23-year-old, who is expected to command a fee in the region of £10m, has also been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and AC Milan

Owen's Reds career over

Michael Owen’s spell at United has come to an end after the striker revealed he will not be offered a new contract this summer.

The 32-year-old, whose three-year stay at Old Trafford has been punctuated by injury, broke the news on Twitter on Thursday morning.

"The Manager informed me after our testimonial match on Tuesday that the club would not be offering me a new contract," Owen said.

"I have loved every minute of the three years I have spent at such a fantastic club. I would like to thank the players, staff and fans for their support and wish them well for the future.

"I now plan to have a short holiday during which I will contemplate my next move."

Owen arrived from Newcastle on a free transfer in the summer of 2009 and scored 17 goals in 52 appearances, most famously the 96th-minute winner in the Manchester derby three years ago.

He featured only four times in 2011/12 before suffering a thigh injury in November that sidelined him for the rest of the season, though he returned to the bench for the final league game at Sunderland and played in Harry Gregg's testimonial.

Manchester United thanks Michael for his contribution and wishes him well for the future.

Owen's gone I see.
Such shame he's had so many injuries, he used to be world's best striker at one point.

only reason for that was because Ronaldo was having them at that point ;)

but yeah, amazing striker ruined by injuries... his performance in 2001 and 2002 was absolutely superb, it's just weird how a Liverpool legend ended up playing for Man Utd

He could have been a star at Real Madrid but he never had the necessary support, shame
