Completely unwarranted - he never plays so he's not match fit and lacking in confidence, then after finally getting a start he gets hauled off at half time and publicly humiliated after the game, I don't know what's wrong with Jose sometimes.

Shaw isn't blameless himself either, there are stories about his poor attitude, also confirmed by Pochettino in his book.

Really wierd how Jose has to take everything public. Why not just tell the players about their performances in a private meeting with them individually? Like every other coach does.

Imagine how hurtful it would be if your boss at your job pointed you out at a staff meeting how shit you are. You'd obviously want to have that discussion with your boss in private and get proper coaching and answers how you can improve yourself and do your job better.
