Have you taken a look at the rules they add to there? They make no sense whatsoever so I applaud a ref who neglects the rulebook and goes by gutfeeling and intuition.
It might have been a wrong call when it comes to the rulebook, but it's a right call for the game.
its akin to a ref pulling back a penalty that is scored because of people encroaching on the area
you know why that happens? because its the rule, but its not in the 'spirit of the game'
if u are making an argument for it being the right 'call for the game' then ur introducing something so subjective we cant even reach a conclusion
if the goal was a game changer, or it was an arsenal goal im sure we would have different views
i wanted juve to win, but that doesnt change my ability to be entirely objective

sry mate, but there's more than just the rules. there are special ref seminars where they teach them their latest guidelines and interpretations of the rules. and the "unnatural position" of the hand / arm which grants you an advantage is actually a punishable offense...
