They care more about the league and Champions League than the League cup. Where as Chelski only have the League cup to really play for this season.

And sure, today hasn't gone their way so far, but they have more to play for than Chelski anyways.

Weren't you the one arguing that Spurs went down deliberately vs. Dortmund to save their strenghts for PL? What would you say they were doing then? Save their players from EL to eventually lose even 2nd place in PL?
