Don't want this to turn out like Tottenham last season. If we just bought Benzema for 40-45m I would be happy with not spending any more on transfers this summer.

Instead we're gonna buy a bunch of young players and expect to not only hold our own in the champions league, but to be in contention for the PL trophy. Not gonna happen

I'm not Benzema's biggest fan but he is certainly a good striker that offers alot of options. Strikers like him go for 40 odd million easy, look at Cavani for instance. Higuain is a poacher and if used correctly he scores goals wherever he goes. I don't see much of a difference between him and Huntelaar apart from that Higuain has a few more years ahead of him.

There are also very few top strikers on the market to choose from. That's why Barca payed 75m despite Suarez being banned for a quarter of the season

agree with you on that. I'd take Lovren and Moreno. I'd prefer someone like Benatia or Hummels but they are probably out of our league atm
