"I hope you can all understand why I have made this decision," said the Uruguayan striker.
"This club did all they could to get me to stay, but playing and living in Spain, where my wife's family live, is a lifelong dream and ambition. I believe now the timing is right."
His move to Barcelona takes Suarez closer to his wife Sofia's family.
"It is with a heavy heart that I leave Liverpool for a new life and new challenges in Spain," he said.
"Both me and my family have fallen in love with this club (Liverpool) and with the city, but most of all I have fallen in love with the incredible fans.
"You have always supported me and we, as a family, will never forget it, we will always be Liverpool supporters."
Despite all the controversy and him wanting to leave in the end, still love the guy. He played his heart out for us, and was an absolute joy to watch.
I'm not happy with the move, but I can only wish him well and thank him for his services over the last few seasons. Another great player to wear our famous #7.You seem to forget about the Madrid saga from last year when he basically went on a rampage sucking all madridista cocks and getting the hate of liverlool supporters.
Then he went humble, then he went biting, then humble again, then ...
I sees a pattern here.
