yellow / manly handshake in epl

if the player in red had been from real, it would have been red.

Nope, should be a red in any competition.

Act of frustration => red

it would 100% be a red in the cl too.

I think john oshea jumping straight back up and then supporting costa after the foul vs the referee was the reason he didnt get a red, i like to see players do that !

Would of been a shame for sunderland to lose a man for something like that

yellow in cl max.

no real intention of hurting the opponent, didnt aim for leg, body, head, hand, was just a meh gestures.

a match usually sees shitloads of moments like this, if you had actually played you would have known what im talking about. Punches discretely given at a corner, cursing, provoking, ugly touches, or elbowing when jumping for headers.

Well it depends really , sometimes cl refs make a real fuck up on decisions.. kind of like when nani got a red vs real madrid at old trafford for competing a 50:50 challenge

most of them are not visible to both refs and cameras. But they happen every single match.

nani was a yellow, he had his foot up (dangerous play) but had no intention of harming the opponent (was watching the ball for good first touch).

cant remember if it was straight red, if it was it was a lol call from the ref.

but wasnt it against Madrid ? In this case red is fully justified.
