this is what makes it so infuriating in my opinion because it proves that acting and swarming the ref almost exclusively have positive effects.
not just terrible refs but UEFA itself, should they decide NOT to punish cronaldo (which i fully expect), therefore indirectly encourage this kind of behaviour.
not only should cronaldo have been sent off at this point, making it impossible for him to contributed to real's 2nd goal, we also know exactly what would have happened if the tables were turned and schmelzer had kicked ronaldo like that: he would have screamed and rolled on the floor like his leg had been chopped off and the whole team would have swarmed the ref, urging him to punish his opponent. isn't it disgusting when you're effectively being punished for acting like a man?
