I'm only ok with America having their own football league if they call it football.

It's just not going to happen. American Football is a large part of America and it's culture, they wouldn't give something that most American's see as an inferior sport the same name.

Soccer (Football) is growing in America. I would think that other countries would be happy, they might have another real competitor in a decade or so.

There isn't any reason why the rest of the world should be 'happy' Americans are becoming more interested in football. We are fine with or without.

It's obviously a great sport, and the MLS is doing the right thing in getting really talented players that are past their best but still good enough to catch people's attention.

There actually is a very good reason. The fact that all 32 teams from the NFL made it into Forbes Top 50 most valuable sports franchises in the entire world (list includes soccer, football, baseball, basketball, hockey, racing, etc)

All 32 NFL teams made it even though USA is the only country supporting the league. Meanwhile, Real Madrid, Barca, MC, MU, etc. are supported by the whole world. It just proves to everybody how passionate we are. If RM or Barca was supported only by the people of Spain it probably wouldn't crack the top 50.

NFL will implode in less than 10 years.

Mark my words.

Wasn't MU in deep in debt? Or was that the entire La Liga? I know for a fact one, or both, were in financial hell a little while back.

This is America, not the Euros. We have a salary cap and parity in our leagues. Every single NFL team has the same chance to win the SB which is what makes it the greatest league in the world (which is proven by all 32 teams making the Forbes Top 50 most valuable sports franchises)

Meanwhile, MU, RM, Barca, Chelsea, etc. have been the only dominant teams in all of Europe for the past 130 years. Congratulations.

You are repeating what you just said.

have fun paying to watch your games in 3 years. No games will be free unless you stream them. YAY NFL.

Even QB legend Marino is suing the NFL (amongst a long list of other players). So much shit is going bad with this sport. It is not going to survive.

Dan Marino is not, here is proof: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24579748/report-dan-marino-to-withdraw-from-concussion-lawsuit-vs-nfl
Stop trying to discuss things you know nothing about.

The most successful sports league in the history of the world is not going to survive? Shows how much you know simple economics. I repeat, THIS IS NOT THE EUROS where MU and/or La Liga is in financial hell. I noticed you dodged that comment.

MU at the top of the list, in debt 308B Euros. Meanwhile La Liga is in financial hell.

If you think the greatest league in the history of sports is not going to last, what is your very educated opinion on the horrifying numbers La Liga and MU faces
