I like that Elia, although i think Downing is most likely due to the forthcoming "x amount of home players in the squad" rule.

Elia would be insane too.
The english players who will most likely be in liverpools 25 player squad next year is: Carroll, Henderson, Kelly, Carragher, Flanagan, Gerrard, Spearing, Robinson, (Cole)
Thats 8 (9 with Cole) and i believe 8 is the limit
and 25 - 8 = 17 which means we have 17 players left to pick and thats more than enough imo

lovely

also i found this on wikipedia in case you wanted to know the exact rules for homegrown players in 25 man squad

Quote
whereby the League would also from 2010 require at least 8 of the named 25 man squad to be made up of 'home-grown players', defined as a player who:
irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The Football Association or the Welsh Football Association for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)

Brah, the rate that we're buying these English players, we'll be able to field a full English team in no time.

Glad we're buying English to be honest. Although, not liking the inflated prices.

Haven't seen anything of Oxlade-Chamberlain to be quite honest, but the interest that Arsenal have in him just shows what kind of player he is.

As for Adam, I don't think any team wouldn't want his left peg. He's superb at set pieces and has one hell of a shot as well.

Exciting days being a Liverpool fan.

My only fear is that this spending will eventually brand us the new Man City or Chelsea. Although, we'd differ in a sense that we're not buying all the players that are inform and on all the big club's radars.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is said to be the new Walcott
idk if that is good or bad, Walcott is not the best winger to be honest....

Great signing for the club. Still need a bit of work on left back and a winger, but overall, good two signings so far.

Gonna be next to impossible to get Baines.

He's an Everton fan is he not? Playing at his dream club, one of our fiercest rivals, the chances of that transfer are next to nothing.
