Alavés 2 - 0 Mallorca

Our first defeat since Soler became our manager :(

He kinda fucked up, lining up a very weird team...

We played pretty bad and deserved to lose, I hope we can start another winning streak soon because we don't have much more room for errors :/

OHL won VS Virton, a team that was placed above is. This is making us jump to the fifth spot. So it looks like we are getting into a good run of form for th elast games, this will be needed when we go into the play offs.

On other news, Beerschot is a club that was announced as bankrupt two years ago and had to shot down, very few months later a club named Beerschot Wilrijk was founded and it is basicly the same club. Today they are getting close to promotion and they managed to get a full stadium (this is a divison 1 stadium) for a low league game, the club looks healthy and it's good to see since this is the most stable club now in the region of Antwerp (on of Belgiums biggest cities). Funy thing is that the coach who was managing the Beerschot team when they got relegated is our current coach

Charleroi, a team who was doomed for relegation has today achieved history. They are officialy playing in play off 1! Congrats to all the Carolo's! :hail:

Meanwhile Cercle were avoiding play off 3 until they managed to let two goals in in the final minutes, they are now playing play off 3 with Lierse (my birthtown)

no, he still has a lot to work on in terms of fitness and conditioning. most of the games he's not even on the bench, not that there was any chance to replace okazaki or one of our more established wingers (hofmann, clemens, de blasis, jairo) anyway...
that being said, our wingers all seem to be relatively injury prone and at the moment three of them are out so he might get a chance again.

anyway, if the buyout is low enough we still might sign him as he has shown some potential and when he adapts to bundesliga pace he could become a very solid player. not an instant help for the team though...

Hmm I see. Club Brugge was in a bit of a striker problem when most of their strikers were out injuried, so there were some rumours of him coming back. Ended up not happening ofc since Oularé was fit enough.

oh my, what a plastic fan i am. just looked it up and it turns out he actually did play for 27 minutes on matchday 19 vs. hannover...
the rest is still true... and we certainly DO need a backup striker. not only because okazaki might become a transfer target for bigger clubs if he keeps performing but also because our current backup (allagui) is quite shit imo...
